A Hummer stretch limo seen in Edgewater on Sheridan Road........there has to be some law that covers things like this. Something about aesthetic crime, or sense of proportion, something like that.
How about the anti-obscenity laws? I believe this vehicle could be defined as Obscene. I guess that's why the fuel efficiency numbers for this thing aren't available:some things are just too ugly to print.
Notice it's about the same length as the CTA bus next to it, but the bus is much more attractively styled.

To call this thing obscene is an understatement. I've been on Critical Mass rides where we've encountered one of these. People slap unflattering bumper stickers on the obscene beast, spit on it, etc. Poetic justice...
I just hope the owner of the thing ends up having to LIVE in it-without wheels. There's enough space in there for a futon, a bathtub, and a campstove.
There's a nice trailer park on the Northwest tollway for him to park it in, and the local denizens can help him put it on blocks.
Have you considered that there just might be a futon and a bathtub in there already? I don't know how they can afford those things.
Kheris, have you ever read about the salaries some prominent sports figures and entertainers living in this burg get paid? Not to mention some of the hedge fund managers and other prominent financial types, who are, I suppose, the folks who threw up $10MM mansions on Howe St, and who own the immense boats you see packed in Diversey and Belmont Harbors.
Boats are ANOTHER thing. Do you realize the average small speedboat costs about $50K and gets one gallon per mile fuel mileage? Never mind some of the veritable yachts you see there. Those things cost millions, even when they are relatively small, and it would be pointless to discuss fuel economy on these things.
And it's probably stocked full of bottled water!lol
